Genesis Labels & Packaging has been proud to work alongside Gun Hill since 2010. Over the years, our partnership has grown through open communication, shared values, and a commitment to design evolution.

From the initial introduction of a woven label, Genesis has been privileged to be involved in the journey, which has seen multiple evolutions of innovative beautiful designs, spanning across multiple woven labels and more recently retail packaging.

It has been very exciting being part of something that has expanded into a full suite of bespoke woven designs— each crafted to reflect the heritage, identity, and premium positioning of the Gun Hill brand.

The Challenge: A More Sustainable Luxury Gift Box

As Gun Hill continued to define their premium in-store experience, they saw an opportunity to elevate their gift presentation with packaging that aligned with both:

Their luxury positioning

Their growing sustainability commitments and values

The goal was to create a single, versatile gift box which could be universally used across their gift and accessories categories — one that would elevate the unboxing experience without compromising environmental responsibility, and display their signature brand colours and logo.

The Process

We were delighted to welcome Nick & Rory from Gunhill to the Genesis Head Office, for a meeting where we showcased some of our best packaging developments.  The goal was to narrow down the quality and finish we would use on the box, along with the shape and design that we would apply to achieve the signature Gunhill look.  We enjoyed a very productive meeting with a warm rapport, which gave us a clear path on the next stage of design and development.

The Solution

Together, we achieved a fully recyclable FSC-certified rigid drawer box, exactly matching a paper-wrap for a refined tactile finish and decorated with Gun Hill’s deep navy palette and iconic branding.

The final packaging features:

• Sustainable FSC-certified materials

• A reusable and recyclable structure

• Heritage-inspired branding

• A premium “keepsake-quality” unboxing moment

Adding the FSC certification mark further reinforced trust and transparency and aligned the product with the values of Gun Hill’s increasingly conscious customer base.

The Result

The new packaging has become a seamless extension of Gun Hill’s brand story — thoughtful, elevated, and rooted in quality. Paired with their existing woven labels and bespoke branding elements, the result is a consistent brand statement that supports the customer experience, and emanating the passion of the brand.
